Latency Checker

Check how long it takes your browser to get a response from any website.

This measures HTTP response time, not raw network ping — browsers can't send true ICMP ping packets. It's a close, practical stand-in: how long a real request to that site actually takes from where you are right now. Some sites block this type of cross-site check entirely (CORS); if that happens, you'll see a clear message rather than a wrong number.

Why not "real" ping?

True ping uses ICMP packets sent at the network level — something only your operating system can do, not a web page. Browsers are deliberately sandboxed from this for security reasons. What this tool measures instead is genuinely useful in practice: real round-trip time for an actual HTTP request, which is what matters for how fast a site actually feels to load.

Results can vary between runs and are affected by the target site's own server response time, not just network conditions — that's expected and normal.
