Speeder (speeder.co.za) is operated by OhSoTech, based in Pretoria, South Africa. This page explains what happens to your data when you use the speed test.

What we collect

Speeder is designed to work without accounts, sign-ups, or stored personal profiles. When you run a test, the following happens:

• Your IP address and approximate ISP name are displayed on the page for context (so you know which connection was tested). This is read directly from the network request and is not stored on our server.
• Test results (ping, jitter, download, upload speed) are shown to you in your browser for that session only. They are not transmitted to or stored on our server.
• Session history (the list of your recent test results on the page) exists only in your browser's memory for that visit. It disappears when you close or refresh the page — nothing is saved permanently.

Third-party services we use

To actually measure your connection speed, your browser communicates directly with a third-party network testing service (Cloudflare's public speed test infrastructure). This is a standard, widely-used method for browser-based speed tests. That service may log standard technical data (such as your IP address) as part of handling the request, under its own privacy policy.

If you click through to our Google AdSense advertising or our OhSoTech contact link, those destinations have their own separate privacy policies governing what happens after you leave this page.

Advertising

Speeder may display advertisements served through Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. You can opt out of personalised advertising through Google's Ad Settings.

Cookies

Speeder itself does not set its own tracking cookies. Third-party services embedded on the page (such as advertising, once active) may set their own cookies in line with their respective policies.

We may update this policy from time to time, for example if we add new features or third-party services. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date above.
